Creativity as a Path Back to Your Wild & Rooted Self

In this episode of Insightful Adventuring, we explore creativity as a essential component for nervous system regulation. We talk about how creativity lives not only in the arts, but in problem solving, relationships and everyday decision making and why creativity often narrows under stress or rigid routine.

We also explore why creativity often resurfaces during perimenopause, as a call toward meaning, truth, and regulation. By looking back at who we were as children and what we engaged with, we can rediscover creative pathways that still support us now, including getting back in touch with our creative side and limiting some of the many symptoms we experience.

This episode also marks the beginning of the podcast’s transition into The Wild & Rooted Woman Podcast, which will continue to foster a deeper home for these conversations.

Here are three ways to begin integrating creativity this week:

- Notice where stress or routine has narrowed your creativity, especially at work, and experiment with one small shift in how you approach a familiar task.

-Reflect on what you loved doing as a child and invite one of those qualities back into your week.

-Spend intentional time in nature, even briefly, and let your senses lead before returning to your responsibilities.
